finish brought me close to .500 for this season. The 0-4 start killed me. My

Sometimes when I see such a
discrepancy in my prediction and the Vegas line I become suspicious that I’ve
overlooked something. If anything, I thought my predicted spread of 17 points
might’ve been a little tight, and mentioned in my prediction write-up that this
could be a blowout. It was.
Northwestern 42

I wasn’t too far off with my
final score prediction. Northwestern wasn’t flat at all.

For a while there I thought
Michigan was going to pull off the upset. But Michigan QB John O’Korn just
isn’t made for high pressure situations. A critical interception late in the
game made me have to sweat this one out.

I had a strong feeling
Saturday morning that Purdue was going to win this game and considered forcing
a play. But I kept my discipline and didn’t. Would have paid off if I had. My
predicted point spread was close to exact, but there was more scoring than I
figured. Good game, but Purdue was undoubtedly the better team this day.
Michigan St. 40

I mentioned a blowout in my
prediction write up and that’s what we got here. I expected a better effort out
of Rutgers at home.

I don’t particularly like
that they switched this game to rivalry week. I liked it better when Penn St.
closed the season with Michigan St. and Maryland closed with Rutgers. Those
games were two nice matchups more conducive to becoming a rivalry in my opinion.

This is another game I almost
forced. The line slipped out a half point beyond my “play” requirements and
again, I kept my discipline. Almost hit the score exactly.
