INDEX BY TITLE

I live in the Midwest which is Big Ten country. Once conference play starts virtually every Big Ten game is televised in my region and I commit myself to try and watch all of them. I have three televisions set up as some games are being played at the same time. I have no bias or affiliation to any Big Ten team as I am a lifelong Notre Dame fan (I include ND games in my viewing schedule as well). My comments and reports are qualified only by my love of the game and an extreme commitment to watching and following Big Ten football.

joeseddit's POWER RATINGS WEEK 2

Here’s my take after week 2.

Penn St. – I question the competition, but so far there’s no reason to think the Nittany Lions don’t belong at or near the top.
Michigan – Could easily be in the #1 spot. QB Wilton Speight’s subpar performance is what’s holding me back.
Ohio St. - I thought the Kevin Wilson factor would have a huge impact on the offense. So far, it appears as though nothing has changed schematically from last season. I’m not so down on the Buckeyes to move ‘em any further down the ladder just yet.
Wisconsin – The Badgers haven’t really played anybody and I wasn’t overly impressed with what I saw last Saturday.
Iowa – This is where it gets hard to separate the rest of the pack for ranking purposes. I like QB Nate Stanley’s progress.
Maryland – That offense is loaded.
Minnesota – I didn’t get to see the Gophers last Saturday, but I like the score.
Michigan St. – My first look at the Spartans was last Saturday. I have to put ‘em in the middle for now.
Purdue – Watch out for the Boilermakers. You heard it here first.
Indiana – Something’s happening here.
Nebraska – My bold prediction: HC Mike Riley won’t be the HC next season.
Northwestern – Preseason expectations and returning starters say the Wildcats should be ranked higher, but I got ‘em way down here for now.
Illinois – I’m not ready to do so yet, but I’ve got a feeling I’ll be moving this team up in the coming weeks.
Rutgers – That was a bad loss last Saturday. One of the few games on the Scarlet Knights’ schedule that looked like a win.
